Pin the Stars on the Flag – 1982

The American flag created for the first fest in 1982 for the “Pin the Stars on the Flag” contest. The limited number of Magic Markers inspired the Pointillist style of the flag artwork. (actually a crosshatching stroke) This poster was used in every subsequent Risserfest becoming a much loved icon of the fests.  The original artwork shows much wear from use and funds for it’s restoration are being sought.
